The house is seriously big though: 15 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, 35,000 sq ft, an indoor pool, a ballroom, and an 8 car garage, all in the most exclusive part of Detroit. In case you dont know the automotive connection the house was originally built for one of the founders of !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

“Exclusive part of Detroit.” Those are words you don’t usually hear in a sentence anymore.

Palmer Woods is one very few remaining old money spots.

I’ve gotta give the guy credit for not spending a completely obscene amount of money on a house.

Gorgeous house. I honestly don’t think you could do much better on any budget. I’d hate to see the heating bills though. Or do you think there is an original peasant-fueled furnace?

Why is that so cheap, in Manhattan, you could buy a 200 sqft condo for $1.5 million
(Maybe a littleexaggerated, but holy crap that is a lot of house for $1.5 million, especially in an upscale neighborhood)

I never said that there isn’t. I just said that you don’t hear about it very much anymore.

Because in the end it’s still in Detroit, also maintaining a house like this is not easy at all.
Give it 10 years though, I bet that value will have skyrocketed.

holy shit. Lets start an OPPO collaborative and buy it. If 15 people get together we can each have out own bedroom and turn the first floor into a cart track.

There are some places like that in Flint too. It’s like there are castles in the middle of a city full of blight.
